Are you a lifelong learner? A lifelong learner is one that is constantly searching for growing and learning experiences in life.

Attributes of a lifelong learner include:

Open to New Experiences, Ideas, Insights and Information A lifelong learner is always looking for new ways to gather information and expand themselves. They want information and are craving a constant input.

Make Things Happen Instead of Waiting A lifelong learner does not sit around and wait for learning opportunities. They are always looking for opportunities instead of waiting for the opportunities to knock on their door.

Always Want to Learn More A lifelong is always searching for more information and in different ways. They are not satisfied with the status quo. They may even keep lists of things they want to learn.

Keep Notebooks A lifelong learner may keep notebooks of notes from things they have learned.

Feel Better About Themselves When Learning A lifelong learner feels best about themselves when they are learning something new.

Learn From Any Experience A lifelong learner will learn from any experience. It doesn’t matter where or how. They crave information and will especially enjoy opportunities to learn outside of a traditional setting.

Learn From a Variety of Means A lifelong learner will learn from many different methods. They will also learn from many different sources. They do not count on only one source!

Never Too Late to Learn A lifelong learner believes that they are never too old to learn. They will accept any challenge.

Investing in Growth = Best Investment in Future A lifelong learner believes that the best method to invest in their future is by investing in their growth. They know that knowledge is power. 

Attracted to Non-traditional Learning Experiences A lifelong learner is attracted to learning that comes from a variety of means. The classroom and traditional coursework is interesting, but they can learn just as effectively by diving into their own research or going on an adventure for answers.
