Cover of Wasserman’s Christopher Columbus

I have been teaching history this week -exploration as well as literature that is associated with the colonization of America. I am humbled and happy to learn about Christopher Columbus and how he felt inspired to explore. Not only did he feel inspired, but he professed to all around him that he was guided by the Holy Ghost to the new world.

One of my favorite reads about his exploration is Jacob Wasserman’s Christopher Columbus. My copy is marked and highlighted. There simply could not be a better read about the finding of the New World.

When I read this account and hear the words of Christopher Columbus, I am most humbled to know that I am also guided in this earthly, temporal endeavor.
